Aryans College of Engineering Organise Industrial Visit for students

CHANDIGARH, 26^th August, 2011

Aryans College of Engineering, Chandigarh organized an industrial visit for its B.Tech students today. Around 40 students visited Alcon Wire and Cables Industry, Rajpura. Students visited various department of the company including Manufacturing, Marketing, Human Resources, Research & Development and Finance. The purpose of the visit was to make students aware of the various practical manufacturing aspects.

Mr. Kuldeep Singh, Marketing Manager and Mr. Satinder Sharma, Technical Manager. Alcon Wire and Cables interacted with the students in the company. Mr. Kuldeep Singh provided the students an insight in to the working of the company. The students were allowed to have a look into the various stages involved in the process of manufacturing of various products including Wires and Cables. Each group was accompanied by an official from the company who explained each and every stage of the process involved.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group said that such industrial visits would enhance the practical knowledge. The various technical concepts being taught in the classrooms get clarified after experiencing them physically in the industry itself. He added that such visits would continue to be there for B.Tech students so that they can learn the concepts with a better approach, Dr Katariua further added..

that It was a professional life experience for the students of Aryans. They also put up various queries relating to manufacture process to the departmental heads & got answers for the same. Industrial visit was an excellent opportunity for the students to understand the complexities faced by companies in various stages.
