Two Days “Admission cum scholarship mela 2012” organized by Chandigarh Based Aryans Group of Colleges (AGC), in Srinagar concluded here today. Giving this information to media, Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group said that a total of 24 students were selected under scholarship plan. The scholarship given in Aryans for MBA, PGDM, BBA, BCA, B.Tech (LEET) and B.Tech (Civil, Mechanical, CSE, EEE & ECE) courses. The scholarship amounts between Rs.50, 000 to Rs.1, 00,000 per student were allocated on the spot to the needy students. Around 26 Scholarship seats are still available. Dr.Kataria said that Aryans Group organise Scholarship mela every year in valley in which scholarship were given purely on Merit-cum-Means basis. From 2012-13, the group going to start M.Tech (Civil & Mechanical), Polytechnic (Civil & Mechanical), GNM, ANM, +1, +2. Aryans is the top most choice in Chandigarh for Jammu and Kashmir students, Dr.Kataria added.

Dr. Kataria further said that the purpose of the scheme was to search meritorious and talented candidates from this region and “make them technically and professionally sound.” “The students in this region have a lot of talent to excel, the only thing is to show them right path and provide them quality education”, he added.
It is to be mentioned that Aryans 20 acre campus is situated on Chandigarh- Patiala highway. The group is running MBA College, BBA/ BCA College, B.Ed College and Engineering College. Hundreds of Jammu and Kashmir students are studying in Aryans Campus.
