Aryans Organized Mega Job Fest.


Chandigarh, 25 July

Punjab chief parliamentary secretary for Industry and Commerce NK Sharma has said that the Punjab government was considering to create Skill Development Centres at block level to hone the employment skills of students belonging to rural areas of the state. At these centres a clusters of six villages will be created to give experimental training to the students as per the demand by the industries.

NK Sharma was addressing the gathering as the chief guest at Job Fest organised by the Aryans Group of Colleges at the PHD Chamber of Commerce here today.  The function was presided over by the Anshu Kataria Chairman of Aryans Group and senior Akali leader Ashwani Sharma.

Speaking on the occasion NK Sharma said that the Punjab government was working over the industrial policy to make the students of rural areas self dependent for global opportunities. The government will create clusters of villages and the big industrial houses will be brought to give training to the students.

He said that the state government was committed to encourage the industry in the state and working on the new policies to bring more investment for Punjab. He further added that the special emphasis was being given to encourage NRIs to invest in the state for this purpose chief minister Parkash Singh Badal has issued directions to solve problems related to NRIs on priority basis.   In this direction additional officers have been appointed with the incharge of NRI police stations. Also all the DRO have been given special powers to deal with the revenue related problems of NRIs.

Further stressing upon the strengthening of the single window systems for solving problems of NRIs more promptly, NK Sharma said that the state government was also establishing new Focal Points at Amaritsar, Jalandhar and Ludhiana.

Earlier speaking on the occasion Chairman of Aryans Group of colleges Anshu Kataria said, “Within a short period of 5 years of inception of the Aryans College more than 150 big industrial houses of the state have provided jobs to students of the college”
During the ongoing financial year more than 250 companies are expected to come for campus placement in the college.
