Around 3000 candidates participate in one of the biggest Placement Drives

“Punjab Government would not put any ban on new Educational Institutions to come up. But in this competitive world, only those Educational Institutions would survive who would be able to provide placements. Aryans Group is doing good job since last 6 years and is a benchmark for Education Industry. Punjab Government would always support such Institutions who would provide the placement to the students inside and outside the state.”

This was said by Sh. Harcharan Bains, Advisor on National Affairs & Media to Chief Minister, Punjab in “Aryans Job Fair” which was organized by Aryans Group of Colleges situated at Village Nepra, Chandigarh-Patiala highway, Near Chandigarh. Sh Ashwani Kumar Sharma, the Youth Akali Leader was the Guest of Honour on the occasion. Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the event.

346 candidates were selected for different jobs by around 50 companies. More than 3000 candidates form different states of North India appeared for interviews in one of the biggest placement drives of the region.

Quoting the famous proverb “Survival of the Fittest”, Sh.Bains admitted that the number of colleges has gone up manifold in recent past, but only those colleges would survive who would provide quality education along with placements.

Dr Kataria said that students from various Institutions and Universities like SRM, JSS, USBS, Oriental College, Kurukshetra University, Surya World, LPU, Dr. IT, Northern India College, Trash College, Gurukul  Vidyapeeth, Arya College, GHEC, MMU, GNDU, SVIET, BBSB, Ramghariya College and Punjabi University also participated in Aryans Job Fair and  got the jobs.

 Dr Kataria further said that Company officials were indeed pleased to see such a heavy walk-in and appreciated the zeal among the applicants. After the rounds of written Test, Group Discussion and interview they shortlisted the candidates. He added that these kinds of Job Fests provide an excellent opportunity of direct communication between the Job provider and Job seeker under one roof.

Prof. A.P. Jain, Director, Aryans Group said that the choice of companies for a student was multiple, students were able to set up the priorities as to how they should plan the day. Every participant could appear for maximum 4 companies. Packages offered ranged from 2.2 to 3.65 Lacs per annum. There were many students who were able to secure more than one offer letter.

Prof. B. S. Sidhu, Registrar, Aryans Group said that till now Aryans Group has organized nine Job Fest including PHD-PTU Mega Job Fest in March 2011, Times-Aryans Job Fest in July 2011, Aryans Mega Job fest in November 2011, Aryans Mega Job fest in February 2012, Aryans Mega Job Fair in March 2012, Aryans Mega Job Fair in May 2012, Aryans Mega Job Fest in July 2012, Aryans Mega Job Fair in September 2012 and Aryans Mega Job Fair in December 2012.

Prof. Mrs. Sarita Jain, Dean, Students Welfare said that after the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Punjab Sh. Parkash Singh Badal & H.E. the Governor of Punjab and Administrator Chandigarh, Sh. Shivraj V Patil awarded Aryans Group of Colleges for Excellence in Education. Recently, His Excellency Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, former President has also awarded Aryans Group of Colleges (AGC) for “Excellence in Education”.

Miss Varinder Kaur, Coordinator, Aryans Group earlier also, Dr. Kiran Bedi, 1st Woman IPS of India, has awarded ABS as the best upcoming B-School of North India. Many reputed personalities like Dr. Kiran Bedi, S. Joginder Singh (Ex-Director, CBI) etc. have visited Aryans campus several times.
