Engineering emerges at Championship in Athletic Meet of Aryans Group of
Colleges
Students of ABS, ACE, AIMT and ACEd participated in 6th Athletic Meet of
Aryans Group
Mohali 10th March
6th Athletic
meet was today organized by Aryans Group of Colleges at Aryans Campus situated
at Vill. Nepra, Chandigarh- Patiala Highway, Near Chandigarh. Students from
Aryans College of Engineering (ACE) won the championship trophy. While the
students of BBA and BCA from Aryans Institute of Management and Technology
(AIMT) won the second prize. Around 800 Students of various courses like MBA,
B.Tech, BBA, BCA and B.Ed participated in this athletic meet. The
meet was inaugurated by Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges.
Students
participated in various categories including 100 m, 200 m races. Other games
such as Volley Ball, High Jump, Long Jump, Javelin Throw, Discuss Throw,
Football, Kabbadi etc. were also carried out. Students also took part in
various indoor games like table tennis, badminton, carom, chess, gymnastics
etc. In the end, fun games like potato race, sack race, eating noodles, three
legged race, tug of war etc. split everybody into peals of laughter.
Later in the day,
Dr. Anshu Kataria gave away the prizes to the winners and congratulated them.
Speaking on this occasion he said that sports contribute an important role in
process of building the personality of a student. He also advised the students
to adopt game spirit as a life style element.
