To create the interest in Science & Technology and to come up with new Innovations, Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh has launched an Awareness Drive for the students of the region.

The Awareness Drive has 3 stages. The first Stage comprise of the visits to various Organizations and Institutions from where new ideas can be generated. The second stage includes brainstorming sessions through Seminars, Workshops, Conferences, Symposiums etc. The third stage is developing new Projects with the ideasaccumulated . Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group said that the main objective of this drive is to motivate the students to come up with innovative ideas.

Under the first phase of the Awareness Drive, hundreds of students visited Pushpa Gujral Science City, Kapurthala today. The students were led by Prof. B.S Sidhu, Registrar, Aryans Group of Colleges.  Various subject areas like Engineering, Technology, Agriculture, Health Sciences, Energy, Industries, Environment, Ecosystems, Jurassic Parks as well as frontier areas like Space, Nuclear Science, Information Technology etc were covered by the students during the visit.

Giving more information, Dr. Kataria said that this visit was intended to inculcate the scientific aptitude & to pull the trigger of scientific imagination and creativity among the students. Such visits sharpen the logical thinking of students and make them more inclined towards practicality. They devoid the minds of all the superstitions and provides scientific approach to every matter. 

It is to be mentioned that Pushpa Gujral Science City, Kapurthala is the largest and the second Science City in India. The first one exists in Kolkata. The biggest project of its kind in Northern India, situated on Jalandhar-Kapurthala road in an area of 72 acres, it is named after the mother of former Prime Minister of India Shri I.K. Gujral who was a social worker. The Science City is having very picturesque and captivating buildings.  The Science Voyage Hall building, which would be housing the major attraction of the Phase-I galleries, has been built with an aerial view of spaceship.
