Aryans Group Honored 8 NGO’s, adopted 8 students on its 8th Foundation Day

The students, staff and Management of Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh today celebrated the 8th Foundation Day. On the occasion in a Programme held today at Hotel Pearl, Aryans Group honored 8 Top NGOs of the Tricity who are helping the poor students to move forward. Not only this, the Group adopted 8 students of these NGOs whose education for the session 2014-15 will be fully paid by Aryans. Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the function. The 8 NGOs who were honoured included Bharat Prakarsh Foundation, Don Bosco Navjeevan Society,  JK Study Center,  Sunehra Aaj, Tammana,  Theatre Age,  Vatsal Chaya and Yuvsatta. It was a unique and first time in Chandigarh wherein Top 8 NGOs were identified & honored and brought at one Platform. Further these NGOs identified 1 student each who are adopted by Aryans.

Dr Anshu Kataria while speaking on the occasion said that we are very happy to honour these NGOs and to adopt these 8 students. He added that these NGOs have contributed in bringing a change in the lives of needy & deserving students by providing them every possible help. That’s why Aryans Group is honouring these NGOs. He further told that the students adopted by us were selected by these NGOs themselves.

Dr Kataria further said that in 2007, Aryans Group was established with just 1 college having MBA and BBA. But now, the Group is successfully running 7 colleges having 11 courses and over 1500 students in 20 acre campus on Chandigarh-Patiala Highway. He also told that in last year, more than 500 Companies have visited Aryans Campus and provided jobs to thousands of unemployed graduates and post graduates.

It is to be mentioned that because of providing a constantly improving infrastructure, Quality Education, good Placements, one by one Innovations by the students etc in last 7 years, the Group has marked its place among top Colleges of Punjab.

Dr Kataria also told that under its CSR Plan, Aryans Group helped the needy students earlier also by giving them scholarships in the courses at Aryans. But this time, the students who are adopted by Aryans are not compulsorily to study at Aryans. They need not to study at Aryans. He further said that Aryans will also honour 8 Top NGOs of the Tricity on the occasion.

About NGOs who were honored

Bharat Prakarsh Foundation is a NGO registered in 2006 as a public charitable trust. Its role is to act as a social conscience for the nation. 

Don Bosco Navjeevan Society was set up in the year 2001 with an objective to cater to the poor and needy from the slums in the city of Chandigarh.

Jammu Kashmir Study Center was set up in 2012 to disseminate information on legal, historical, political, economic and cultural issues of J&K. Its Chandigarh Chapter is working since October 2013 and is going to JK in 3rd week of June to distribute clothes and stationery items to schools situated in border areas.

Sunehra Aaj facilitates supporting causes in the areas of health, education, environment and spiritual wellbeing.

Tammana, initiated on September 1′ 2008, has successfully runs various Eye Donation Awareness Camps, Health & Educational Camps at slums, Blood Donation Camps, Women Empowerment Skills Workshops etc. in the Tricity.

Theatre Age is dedicated towards transforming the lives of street children who are a neglected section of the society, into self sufficient individuals. 

Vatsal Chaya Trust works to enable,educate and empower urban deprived women and children.

Yuvsatta first started as newspaper in 1990 by like minded youngsters studying in various Colleges and University of the city, slowly and steadily it took shape of an non-profit organization which was formally got registered in 1996 in Chandigarh city of India.
