Ex Army Chief Conferred degrees in Aryans 5th Convocation

Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh organized its 5th Convocation at Aryans Campus situated on Chandigarh-Patiala Highway, Near Chandigarh. General JJ Singh, PVSM, AVSM, VSM (Retd) Ex Army Chief and Former Governor, Arunachal Pradeshwas the Chief Guest on the occasion. Dr. Jamshid Ali Khan, Dean, College develoment council, Punjabi University Patiala, was the Guest of Honour. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the event. Around 250 MBA, BBA, BCA and B.Ed students of Aryans were conferred degrees. 

The convocation started with Lamp Lighting followed by Saraswati Vandana. While delivering convocation address, the Chief Guest General JJ Singh(Retd) motivated the students to acquire excellence in their chosen fields to move forward in their lives and contribute to nation building. Mr. Jamshid Ali Khan also urged the students to step out of restricted thinking and explore the opportunities in the current global scenario.
 
While addressing the faculty and students of the Aryans Group of Colleges on the occasion, General JJ Singh (Retd) said that global forces have made considerable impact on India at all levels of its life, penetrating its economy and reshaping its thinking and mode of operation. India today is quite different from what it was barely 20 years ago. India’s doctors, engineers, IT specialists, space scientists, academician and management professionals are present in the west in large numbers making the country proud.

General JJ Singh (Retd) further added that Challenges to education today is to shift from a localized factory model to one that prepares its students to function in an increasingly interconnected and rapidly changing globalized world. Education must prepare youth for integration into societies and economies from highly diverse, linguistic, ethnic, religious, racial and cultural backgrounds. Children should be taught ‘to learn how to learn’ in view of the availability of enormous amount of information now available through the internet.

While congratulating the students, Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges said that “The World is waiting for people who are able to think, analyze and apply and I can proudly say that these young talents will make great progress and positively impact business and society in the coming years”.

Dr.Manjula Kataria, Principal, Aryans College of education gave ‘Vote of Thanks’ to the Chief Guest for sparing his valuable time to address motivate and encourage the Aryans students.
