Constitution Day observes at Aryans
Campus

Students, Staff and Management of Aryans Group of Colleges,
Chandigarh observed Constitution Day at its campus today. The celebration was
done one day before with all Patriotic fervour which marked the 66th anniversary
of adoption of the Constitution of India. Students of Aryans Engineering,
Degree, Education and Nursing College participated in various activities. Dr.
Manjula Kataria, Principal, Aryans College of Education was also present on the
occasion.
The function commenced with the
patriotic song Vande Matram sung by students and followed with Constitution
I.Q. brain teasers, Paper presentation, essay writing competition etc. A seminar was also organised on fundamental Rights,
amendments made in constitution, right
to education and preamble of Indian Constitution etc to create awareness among the students.
Dr. Manjula Kataria while speaking on
the occasion said "Taking the pledge on this important occasion would
instil a sense of patriotism among students and engage their hearts and minds
with a sense of being a part of one great nation”.
Ms Divyapreet Kaur, HOD, Management Dept while
presenting the paper throw light on fundamental Rights of citizens and appealed
to be in discipline everywhere. She further said that we should feel
proud to be “Indian” and being a citizen of largest democratic Country.
Ms Rupinder kaur, faculty at Aryans Group presented a
power point presentation on Indian Constitution and its importance for the
Indians. The seminar hall reverberated with patriotic fervour and
enthusiasm.
It is to be mentioned that India is observing November
26 as the Constitution Day of India. The day has also been declared as the
Constitution Day to spread awareness about its architect Dr B.R. Ambedkar. The
day was announced by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, after he laid the
foundation stone of Dr Ambedkar Memorial at Indu-Mills Compound on October 11,
2015 in Mumbai. The Constitution was adopted on November 26, 1949, while it
came into force on January 26, 1950.
