“PTU (Punjab Technical University) would start 50 incubation centres in Punjab in this academic session.The purpose of these incubation centres would be to produce job providers and not job seekers.This step would not only help the overall development of student but would also help in industrialization in the state”.
This was stated by Dr.Rajneesh Arora,Vice Chancellor,PTU while inaugurating the first PTU incubation centre at Aryans Business School(ABS) at PHD Chamber, Chandigarh. On the occasion, Dr. Arora, VC,(Punjab Technical University); Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman (Aryans Group); Mr.Harshvir Singh, Secretary(The Indus Entrepreneurs); Mr.Jiwanand Jha, DZM(Bank Of India) and Mr.Dalip Sharma, RD(PHD Chamber of Commerce And Industry) also signed the Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) for running of the incubation centre.
All the organizations will play a major role in making this incubation centre a success. TiE would be helping in nurturing the business ideas among the management students while BOI would be providing funding to the viable business ideas. The role of PHD chamber would be to provide platform to the students for selling & translating these ideas into reality.
Dr. Anshu Kataria while addressing said that the centre aims to create opportunity for enthusiastic students with an entrepreneurial bent of mind, to come up with innovative ideas and channelize their efforts to give birth to new ventures. To provide exposure to its students Aryans Group has included interactive sessions with foreign collaborated universities & faculty in its curriculum.
