Aryans Group of Colleges (AGC) in association with Gian Sagar Medical College & Hospital (GSMC&H) organized a blood donation camp at the college campus today. Around 100 students of MBA, BBA, BCA and B.Ed donated blood in the camp. A team of doctors under the leadership of Dr. Manish Rai conducted thorough medical check up of voluntary donors and selected the eligible donors to donate blood.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges (AGC) quoting the benefits of donating blood, said that it helps to maintain healthy heart, Increases red blood cells production, helps in Decreasing body weight and on top of it improves the psychological health as it gives a feel good factor. He added that the college is looking forward to organize such camps on regular basis.
It has been seen that generally girls are hesitant to donate blood but there was maximum participation from the girls. The camp had a good response from students as well as the teachers. The students were given certificates, mementoes and donor cards along with refreshments.
