A delegate from Sri Lanka under the leadership
of Renowned Educationist Ms. Rohani Tissera, Sri Lanka today visited Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh. She was accompanied with Mr. Lasantha Teepal,
Representative, Local Govt., Sri Lanka, Mr Ruwa Jaya Wickrama, Educationist;
Sri Lanka etc. She also interacted with students of Aryans Group of Colleges,
Chandigarh.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh said the main objective of this was, to enlightening the
the delegate about Indian education. He added that India is becoming hot
destination for education for countries like Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh etc.
India has all added advantage like low cost of education, living, hassle free
visa, better placement scenario etc
Ms. Rohani Tissera stated that Sri Lanka has
very less number of Universities and almost no medical college. She added that
there are less number of universities in Sri Lanka so it’s tough to take
admission there. She added that private colleges are very expensive in Sri
Lanka. That’s why they prefer India.
The craze of Sri Lankan students for education
in UK is coming down as they are facing problems like Visa issues, Restriction
of working hours in Part time Job, education is very expensive and cost of
living is very high. Now, India is becoming hot- destination for Sri Lankan
students. As studies and living is not that much expensive as compared to UK.
Dr. Kataria added that Aryans Group of Colleges have already entered into a number of Tie-ups/Collaborations with Foreign
Institutions such as Outline System (USA); LSME(London School Of Management
Education, London); Fontys University (Netherland); AUPP(Australian Unified
Pathway Program, Australia) etc., and an international membership of AACSB
(Association To Advance Collegiate School Of Business, USA).
In last five years, Aryans delegates had also
visited many Educational Institute of many countries like China, Dubai,
Mauritius, Singapore, Bangkok, Honkong, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bangladesh.
