Chandigarh 7 June
Students, staff and
management of Aryans Group of Colleges today celebrated the 7th Foundation
Day. On the occasion, total scholarship of Rs.7 Crores was announced for needy
students in various courses at Aryans. Sh Surjit Singh Rakhra, Rural
Development & Panchayat Minister, Punjab was the Chief Guest on
the occasion. Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the event.
Dr Kataria, speaking
on the occasion said that scholarship is available in different courses
like B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, BBA, BCA, Nursing, Polytechnic etc. Students who are

Sh Rakhra said that
Aryans Group has chosen a very unique and excellent way for celebrating its
Foundation Day as many needy students will be benefited by this. He added that
Educational Groups should realize their role in Corporate Social Responsibility
and must contribute something towards the society in any manner. He
further said that Aryans initiative in the shape of scholarships for needy
is a commendable step in this regard.
It is to be mentioned
that established in 2007, Aryans Group is running Management College,
Engineering College, BBA-BCA College, Education College, Nursing College &
Junior Science College (+1 & +2 Non Medical). Now Aryans is starting its 7th project
i.e. Aryans Degree College on its 7th Foundation Day.
Dr Kataria further
said that Aryans Group has started the search for the needy students who are
eligible for the scholarship. For this, Dr Kiran Bedi, First Women IPS Officer
of India, along with Aryans team has already visited Chandigarh, Bihar,
Jharkhand, Jammu, Srinagar, Guwahati and Imphal to select deserving
students who can avail this scholarship.
Dr Kataria adding more
said that under this model, partial scholarship will be doled out
purely on merit basis. A part of the scholarship will be paid by Aryans
Group of Colleges, a part will be paid by a bank and the remaining part will be
borne by the students.
