Campaign launched by Dr Kiran Bedi in May 2013
Aryans, Chandigarh invites students for “Kiran Bedi Super 50”
Patna 4 March
Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh today invited applications from the students of Bihar for “Aryans - Kiran Bedi Super 50”- a Campaign which was inaugurated by Dr Kiran Bedi in Patna last year. Aryans has also launched a Toll Free Helpline no. - 1800-30000-388 on which students can get information or students can also log on to www.aryans.edu.in. This information was given by Prof A P Jain, Director, Aryans Group in a Press conference held today at Vishwa Samvad Kendra, Frazer Road, Patna.
Prof Jain told that last year, Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh with the guidance of Dr Kiran Bedi launched “Aryans – Kiran Bedi Super 50” under which needy and deserving students were offered partial scholarships for studying in Aryans. He added that to launch this scheme, Dr Kiran Bedi herself visited Patna on 10th April and 22nd May last year.
Prof Jain said that this is a unique model under which partial scholarship will be doled out purely on merit basis in different courses at Aryans like B.Tech 1st Year (Civil, Mechanical, CSE, EEE & ECE), B.Tech (LEET), M.Tech (Civil, Mechanical), MBA,PGDM, BBA, BCA, B.Ed,+1(Non-Medical) etc. A part of the scholarship will be paid by Aryans Group of Colleges, a part will be paid by a bank and the remaining part will be borne by the students.
It is pertinent to mention here that similar model was followed in Chandigarh where about 40 students were selected by Dr Bedi for scholarship at Aryans, Chandigarh. Some of these students have already completed their degrees from Aryans, Chandigarh, and have been placed and some are still pursuing their studies. After the attempt was successful in Chandigarh, Dr Bedi motivated Aryans to launch same Project in Bihar.
It is worth mentioning that an MOU between Dr Kiran Bedi’s Navjyoti Foundation and Aryans Group of Colleges was signed in Chandigarh, on the basis of which Navjyoti Foundation will select the students for Scholarship and Aryans College will award them scholarship.
It is to be mentioned that established in 2007, Aryans campus is located at Chandigarh–Patiala highway, near Chandigarh and has lush green 20 acres pollution free campus. The group is running Management College, Engineering College, Education College & Junior Science College (+1 & +2 Non Medical).
