Srinagar; Aryans Group of Colleges,Chandigarh & others organizes Asia’s longest Iftar

Srinagar created a history by hosting
Asia’s longest Iftar party today on the banks of Dal Lake, Srinagar. The Iftar
was organized by Loud Beetle, Srinagar and Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh
with the support of others. The party spread over 1.6 Kilometer stretch along
the Dal Lake, Srinagar.
An estimated 3000 people gathered and
break the day long fast. The guests were served with bananas, dates, mineral
water bottles, Tehri(yellow rice) and fried chicken etc.
The Iftar was also supported by 92.7
Big FM, J&K Tourism, Khyber, Ahad, Airtel 3G, Petro Min, TCI, City Sign,
Hangers, Kathi Junction, J&K Headlines, Rasna, Kashmir Box.Com, Urth Cafe,
Hap Looks, My Rahat, TSH etc.

Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges while congratulating all the
supporters said that Kashmir has set an example by organizing the Asia’s longest
party. Earlier to it the record was set for World’s longest Iftar of 1508 m
organized in Saudi Arabian City which was mentioned in Guinness World Records.
Kataria further quoted that Aryans
was excited equally be a part of this biggest religious occasion in Kashmir. He
further said that more than 1000 students from various parts of the Kashmir are
already studying in Aryans. These students have also participated and supported
Aryans in the event.
It is to be mentioned that Ramadan is
the month in which the Qur'an was sent down, as a guide to mankind, also clear
Signs for guidance and judgment between right and wrong. Ramadan is a special
month and it is a time for inner reflection, devotion to God and indeed is as a
kind of tune-up for their spiritual lives. The purpose of fasting is to create
God consciousness.
