Special act by JK students on JK flood disaster made audience cry

8th Annual Cultural Extravaganza “Rajni” of Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh heldtoday at Tagore Theatre, Sector 18, Chandigarh. A special fund raising activity was also done by Aryans Group for JK flood victims. B.Tech, MBA, BBA, BCA, B.Ed, BA, B.Com, GNM, Polytechnic Diploma students participated in the colorful cultural items.

The function commenced with the Lamp Lighting ceremony by the Aryans Group patrons Prof. D.C. Kataria “Roshan” and Mrs. Rajni Kataria followed by Devotional Ganesh Vandna by Pooja & group. Students of Aryans Group presented a colorful Cultural Programme which included Bhangra, Giddha, Western dance, Punjabi dance, Fusion, Act, Folk dance, solo song, solo dance etc.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges said that “Aryans team shares the concern of the people about the grim situation in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. We at Aryans are distressed by the calamity which has struck Jammu and Kashmir. It is a matter of deep concern for us as our thousands of students belong to J&K and their parents have been affected by the floods.” He requested everyone those who were present on the occasion to help the JK Flood victims.

On the occasion, JK students presented a special act on JK Flood Disaster. This emotional act brought tears to eyes of everyone.

It is to be mentioned that various cultural activities performed by students like Bhangra under the leadership of Jagtar, Vampire dance by Pragya and group. Group dance by Dharma and group brought the audience onto their heels. Blind Act by Vikram and Group was the centre of attraction. A lesson was given by the students through Ragging Act. Funny dance by Anurag and group enthralled the audience.

Showing the cultures of different states, Naati performed by Devinder and group while Himanshu & Group presented South Indian Dance. Pooja and group performed Rajasthani Dance, Yusra and group performed Kashmiri Dance, Shalendra and group performed Bhojpuri Dance, Dechain and group performed Drass Dance.

Also present on the occasion were Mr. Sanjay Tandon, President BJP, Chandigarh; Mr Mohanbeer Singh Sidhu, Additional Director, Technical Education, Punjab; Mr Suresh Kotwal, President, J&K Bank; Mr Baljit Singh, Branch Manager, Dena Bank; Prof. D. Kataria, Vice- Chairman, Aryans Group; Mrs. Rajni Kataria, Treasurer, Aryans Group; Dr. (Mrs.) Parveen Kataria, Director General, Aryans Group; Dr.Manjula Kataria, Principal, Aryans College of Education and many others.
