Scheme (NSS) Camp organizes at Aryans
The camp encompassed the
rallies and protest by the volunteers on various social evils like “Tree
Plantation”, “AIDS”, “Blood Donation”, “Environment Protection”, “Law &
Order”

With a stern commitment to serve the nation, the 7 day National
service scheme (NSS) camp was organized by Aryans Group of Colleges,
Chandigarh.
The camp was
inaugurated by Dr. Manjula Kataria, Principal, Aryans College of Education.
The camp started under the theme “Swachh
Bharat Mission” under which the
volunteers cleaned the college campus and the adjoining lawns and gardens, made
to paint the trees and pots. Tree plantation activity was also done wherein
students adopted few plants.
On the second day Prof. Mehar Singh Malhi, Government College,
Mohali delivered a lecture on origin & importance of the mother language
Punjabi to the students. Third and forth day witnessed Health, sanitation &
AIDS awareness drive in the nearby villages Thuha, Nepa, Alampur etc followed
by distribution of clothes and blankets by the nursing students and staff.
A blood Donation Camp was also organized on the 5th
Day by PGI, Chandigarh in the campus wherein 57 units of blood were collected.
Advocate Sh. Satpal Bedi, law expert visited villages and created awareness
about various laws, rules and regulations to be adopted for the betterment of
their own.
Dr. Manjula Kataria, Principal, Aryans College of Education appreciated
the patriotism, compassion and love that the volunteers depicted for their
nation-their motherland, and further inspired them all to remain a part of such
social activities. She thanked all the revered guests who spared their valuable
time to be a part of this camp.
Kataria while adding said that such camps ensure the
all round development of students. The students of Aryans were also
acknowledged on the self employment opportunities by the principal.
