Governor Andaman inaugurates Aryans 10th Academic

Lt.
Gen A.K. Singh, PVSM, AVSM, SM, VSM, (Retd) the Lt Governor of the Andaman and
Nicobar Islands today formally inaugurated 10th academic
session of Aryans in a function being organized by Aryans Group of Colleges,
Chandigarh at its campus.
Later
Lt. Gen A.K. Singh also participated in a National Level Seminar on “National
Security & Role of Armed Forces”. Dr. Mohan Paul Singh Isher was the Guests
of Honour while Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the
function. On the occasion Gen A.K. Singh formally inaugurated 10th academic session of Aryans
with lamp lighting ceremony and also released its brochure.
Gen
A.K. Singh congratulated the students, staff and management on the
start of 10th Academic
session. He mentioned He said that he is amazed to see the students from all
over the Country who are currently studying at Aryans. He addressed the youth
on “National Security and Role of Armed Forces” & urged that every citizen
should take the responsibility for maintaining the peace to save and secure
their environment.
On
the occasion Aryans also honoured Awais Amber, Chairman, Rosemine Education
& Charitable Trust for putting efforts and connecting financially deprived
students with their higher education.
Gen
A.K. Singh while speaking said that Forces are the pillars and foundation of
the national security and peace. All the forces are embedded and reserved with
the Armed Forces. It is the responsibility of the Armed Forces to forestall
peace and safety in the country. He covered positive and negative aspects
of the Country wherein social evils like discrimination on Caste, Colour,
Creed; Corruption etc need to be eradicated. “A good military leader should
have humility in his personality but arrogance in uniform” he added.
Vice
Chancellor, MRS-PTU, Bathinda, Dr. Mohan Paul Singh while speaking on the
occasion said that National Security is a top public issue today. There is need
for a total overhaul of the curriculum at all levels of education with a view
to providing its recipients, broad based education in the development of the
mind, soul and body. “There is a need in the development of appropriate
attitudes, skills, abilities and competences to co-exist with and contribute to
the development of the society” he Isher added.
Dr.
Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group while speaking on the occasion said that
Aryans has entered into its 10th academic session & has majority of students
from remote areas. Kataria said that Institutions should try to train future
workers to help States economies and to offer liberal education so as to
produce informed citizens who can contribute to our democratic way of life.
Mr.
Awais Amber, Chairman, Rosemine Education & Charitable Trust while speaking
said that every sovereign, independent state must train, sustain and nurture
men and women to serve in its security and intelligence outfits. Education is
the only mean that frees the minds of its recipients from their preconceptions.
It broadens the possibilities for greater understanding of others in our nation
and around the world.
