Renowned Canadian Entrepreneur interacts with the students of Aryans

Mohali 24th August

Renowned Canadian Entrepreneur and social activist, Mr. Sukhi Bath today interacted with the students of Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh. A seminar was organized on the “Career Opportunities after Graduation in Canada” at its campus. Mr. Jaswinder Singh Dilawari was also present on the occasion. Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges presided over the event. Students of B.Tech, MBA, BBA, BCA, B.Com, BA, GNM, ANM, MA (Edu), B.Sc (Agri) etc participated in the seminar.

Mr. Sukhi Bath while interacting with the students said that both countries have great scope for co-operation in high-end technologies, infrastructure, renewable energy, education etc. Canada is gifted with huge amount of natural resources especially in renewable energy sources, while India is the second most populous country and one of the fastest growing economies in the world.

Mr Bath while exploring the opportunities available for the youth said that more than 77,000 jobs are approved for funding under Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program this year across Canada, more than double last year’s 34,000 and roughly 7,000 more than originally anticipated when the government announced a boost to the program funding in the federal budget earlier this year.

Mr. Bath further said that CSJ creates summer job opportunities and provides valuable work experience for youth aged 15 to 30 intending to return to their full-time studies in the next school year. The program helps young people gain the skills, abilities and work experience they need to find and maintain good employment.

Mr. Jaswinder Dilawari while speaking on the occasion said that Agriculture and food processing are also potential areas for co-operation between both the countries. Canada exports pulses, lentils, food grains to different countries. Specifically, it supplies around 40% of lentils consumed in India. There is a lot of scope for collaboration in the processed food sector, as very few Canadian food processing companies have explored investment opportunities in India.
