Renowned Management Guru a Former Dean & Chairman, University Business School (UBS), PU; Past President, Chandigarh Management Association (CMA) & Chief Mentor, Aryans Business School (ABS), Prof. S.P.Singh, passed away on Thursday. Hundreds of Industrialists, Management Experts & Academician attended his cremation today (Friday).
His contributions in management have been tremendous & widely acknowledged by academia & industry .He worked on various research projects at Lucknow University and IIM Ahmadabad. He did his Ph.D and taught at Colorado (USA). He also served the Punjab State Institute of Public Administration, Chandigarh.
He had been the Member Steering Committee for Program on Master of IT and Management in Indian Institute of Public Administration, New Delhi. He rendered valuable services as Member Advisory Committee (Projects), Punjab Financial Corporation (PFC).
He had been involved in many EDPs for Managers and Government Officers sponsored by UGC & also in Orientation and Refresher Courses in Commerce, Management, Economics, Statistics, Environment, Education and Public Administration at PU and several other universities in India. He was one of the architects of the major initiatives and innovations. He restructured and renamed Deptt of Commerce & Business Management as University Business School (UBS) during chairmanship in 1995.
