Seminar on “40 years of Bank Nationalization and Challenges” held at Aryans Business School (ABS)

 Aryans Business School (ABS) organized a seminar on “40 years of Bank Nationalization and Challenges”. Prof. B.B. Tandon, Senior Advisor,IBS and Professor Emeritus, Aryans Business School (ABS), was the key note speaker. The event was presided by Anshu Kataria, Chairman. Around 200 MBA Students of Aryans Business School (ABS) & Aryans School of management (ASM) attended the Seminar.



Prof. B.B. Tandon stated that “By 1960, the Indian banking industry had become an important tool to facilitate the development of the Indian economy. Indira Gandhi, the then Prime Minister of India nationalized the 14 largest commercial banks from the midnight of July 19, 1969. Jayaprakash Narayan, a national leader of India, described the step as a "masterstroke of political sagacity." A second dose of nationalization of 6 more commercial banks followed in 1980.” 



While interacting with the students, he further added that both the elements like nationalization & liberalization of the banks are essential to understand for the candidates who wish to enter the banking world. He also focused on the recession issues taken place in the Indian Banking sector and also provided the students certain valuable tips to succeed in the banking sector.



Anshu Kataria, Chairman, ABS mentioned the importance of this seminar for MBA students and how the students are benefited at large from this.
