To promote "Edutainment" in the institute and to make the students familiar with the practical aspects of management, Aryans Group organized a "Movie Week" from 20th-25th September' 10 at the college campus. During this week, movies like "Chak De! India", "Corporate", ”3 idiots”, "Guru", "Iqbal", "Swades", "Lakshya", "Lagaan" and "Taare Zameen Par" etc. were screened for around 400 students of MBA,BBA,BCA students. The students were given a brief preview before the movie and were told to study the management aspects during the screening.
Dr.Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group said that these movies would help understand concepts like strategy, motivation, determination, ambition, time management, stress management, will power, Resistance and change management, goal achievement, team management, role of seniors, focus, talent management, organizational goal versus individual goals, sacrifice and win, human capital management, business rivalry, inner driven leadership, delegation and empowerment, facing challenges, crisis management, balancing roles, mission accomplishment and killing instincts etc.
The Faculty members playing very good focus on these case studies and students are also taking interest in it.
Students share their experience and lessons they learnt from movie week. MBA students monika said that “Lagan” movie show us leadership skills and models. This movie tell us that leader must be capable of generalizing talent and mobilizing the task through team work. Another student from MBA 3rd Barshani tell that “Guru” movie show how to proper utilize all resources and dedication towards goal of life. MBA 1st student Nitika said that “Rocket Singh” movie show how to face challenges and win in life. Achievement of goal and positive thinking is lesson from this movie. This movie tells lot about marketing strategies. BBA 1st sem student, Gurwinder state about movie “Chak de India” that it is based on motivational skills and give lessons about patriotism and proud towards you nation.
