Around 1000 appeared in MAT in Chandigarh

Around 1000 students appeared in Management Aptitude Test (MAT) exam today in Chandigarh. Lajpat Rai Bhawan, Sector-15 and University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University (PU) were the main centers in Chandigarh.

Chandigarh based MAT allied Business School i.e. Aryans Business School (ABS) today distributed around 1500 examination kits in Chandigarh, Ambala, Ludhiana etc. The examination kits comprised of pencils, eraser, sharpener and sweets. ABS has been providing necessary stationery items and conveys best wishes to the exam aspirants since last four years.

Riti from Chandigarh said that this time English and Reasoning Sections were easy as compare to December MAT’2010, whereas Quantitative part was tough. On other side, Jaikant Shukla from Jharkhand found overall exam easy.

Giving more information, Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, ABS, said that generally students wait for their graduation result and don't apply for any B-School and with the time their result comes, the seats get filled. So they should apply before the cut-off dates of the B-Schools where they wish to take admission.

It is to be mentioned that MAT has become popular with over 450 of AICTE approved Institutions & University departments participating in it. Lacs of MBA aspirants are availing AIMA's testing services from the last six years. In 2004, Government of India has approved MAT as National Entrance Test by Government of India.

This test is usually conducted 4 times each year in February, May, September and December. The eligibility for the MAT test is Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university, but students appearing in final year of their degree course can also apply for the same.
