Srinagar 13 July

The JK Students of Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh organised “Iftaar” party at Lal Chowk, Srinagar to celebrate Ramadan. Hundreds of B.Tech, MBA, BBA, BCA and Polytechnic Diploma students of Aryans Group gathered at Lal Chowk near Clock Tower. The students distributed free Iftar boxes containing dates and juice to the people on the occasion helping them break their fast. Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group was also present on the occasion to encourage the students.

While talking on the occasion, Dr Anshu Kataria said that majority of students studying in Aryans Group of Colleges are from the valley. He added that earlier also, the JK students of Aryans celebrated Eid Ul Fitr in a full swing with staff and management at Aryans campus situated at Chandigarh-Patiala Highway, Near Chandigarh.

Dr Kataria further said that MBA student -Waseem Hyder, B.tech students- Faheem Andrabi, Hanan Bashir Shah, Minhaz Mehraj, Bashit Bashir, Rahil, Adil Hussain took the lead in organizing the Iftaar at Lal Chowk and actively participated in it.

It is to be mentioned that Iftar is the meal eaten by Muslims to break their fast after sunset every day during Ramadan. While fasting, they eat in the morning before sunrise and then don't eat all day until the sun sets. It is very important to break fast at the one particular time that the calendar says. Many Muslims believe that feeding someone iftar as a form of charity is very rewarding.

It is to be mentioned that Chandigarh is becoming hot spot for education for the students of   North India. Most of the students of Jammu and Kashmir (JK) coming to Chandigarh for higher education. Students mostly focus on Aryans as along with seminars, Guest lecturers etc. Aryans also organize various cultural Programmes like Rajni, Roshaan, Sayonara etc. in which Kashmir’s perform their traditional dances like Rabab, Hafiza etc. This gives the platform to the students to show their culture in other states also.

 It is worth mentioning that Aryans Group has been awarded for “Excellence in Education” by Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam, Former President; Sh. Parkash Singh Badal, Chief Minister of Punjab; Sh. Shivraj V Patil, the Governor of Punjab and Administrator Chandigarh; Dr. Kiran Bedi, First Women IPS Officer of India; S. Joginder Singh, Ex-Director, CBI etc. The Group has also been honoured for “Excellence in career building” by Dr. Shashi Tharoor, Minister of State for Human Resource Development, India.

It is to be mentioned that Established in 2007, Aryans campus is located at Chandigarh–Patiala highway, near Chandigarh on lush green 20 acres pollution free campus. The group is running Management College, Under Graduate College, Engineering College, Nursing College, Education College & Junior Science College (+1 & +2 Non Medical).
