PTU youth FEST (Zone IV) of around 45 colleges concluded at Aryans Group of Institutes at Village Nepra, Chandigarh – Patiala highway, near Chandigarh. Youth Fest was inaugurated by S.Manpreet Singh Badal, Finance Minister, Punjab and S.Parminder Singh Dhindsa, PWD Minister, Punjab was the chief guest in the prize distribution Function. Sh. Raj Khurana, MLA, Chief Parliamentary secretary & Sh. R. C. Khurana, GM, Bank of India and Mr. Jaspal Singh, coordinator Cultural Programme, PTU were the Guest of honours. Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group presided over the function.
Major Participants in the Fest were Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Institute, Chanakya, Chitkara, Desh Bhagat, Dr. IT, Doraha Inst., GGNIMT, Gurukul, GNIMT, Malwa, PIET, RIMT, Sh. Attam Valabh Jain; SVIET etc. participated in the fest. A total of 26 Items were presented including Punjabi Folk Dance (Boys), Punjabi Folk Dance (Girls), Group Song Indian, Classical Dance, western solo, One Act Play, Mime, Skit, Mimicry, Light Vocal Indian, Poster Making, Elocution, poster making, Collage, Poem Recitation, War Singing, Clay Modeling, Quiz, Debate, On the Spot Painting, etc.
While addressing the participants PWD Minister, S.Parminder Singh Dhindsa, motivate the youth to devote their energies to create a better society and develop a positive attitude towards their work. Dhindsa further added the main objective of the Youth Affairs programme is to encourage and support active participation of youth in the process of socially valuable and nation building activities and development of personality of the youth.
